I offer embodied, relational Gestalt psychotherapy – therapy that fosters a sense of wholeness, agency and ownership over your life and experience, by supporting you to more fully inhabit the here and now.
Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, unmotivated, or confused by the way things seem to play out in your life. You might be struggling with the injustice of past or current situations, living with hurt inflicted by others, or just curious about your own behaviour. Gestalt therapy is about getting to the heart of your experience, bringing presence and choicefulness to the way you exist in the world.
I have expertise in recovery from abuse, gender and sexuality, transitions and crisis, and integration of psychedelic, spiritual and extraordinary experience.
I work with the difference that makes you who you are: I'm committed to anti-oppressive practice, affirming of trans experience, and experienced in gender, sexual and relationship diversity.
I draw from traditions in psychology, mythology, ecology, spirituality, and the arts, as well as my own life experience. My intention is to equip you with the tools and the confidence to become the artist of your own life.
I sit on the advisory board of psychedelic welfare charity PsyCare UK, and host their podcast Frontiers in Harm Reduction. I also serve on the committee for the C. G. Jung Public Lectures, Bristol.
I currently have availability for new clients on Wednesdays. I charge £55 for each 1 hour session, and currently my concession slots are full.
Therapy is normally weekly, at the same time each week, and can take place either in-person (in Bristol or in Stroud) or online via Zoom.
I offer a free online 30 minute introductory meeting where we can get a feel for each other and explore the possibility of working together. The power of therapy rests on the relationship that we are able to build together – it's important that you feel like I'm the right therapist for you.
If this works for you, you can reach me at rhodri.therapy@proton.me to book in for an initial chat. Please include whether you are interested in online or in-person therapy, and where you are based. Do also feel free to email if you have any further questions.
